Ray Wilson Bartram, 79, of Huntington, W.Va., died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at his home. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel by the Rev. Bob Withers. Burial in Cedar Cliff Cemetery. He was born May 4, 1921, in Huntington, a son of the late Louis and Anna Ramey Bartram. He was retired from Houdaille of Huntington, and was a member of Seventh Avenue Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served four years in Europe during World War II. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lessie Kessee; two brothers, Thomas Bartram and Carl Junior Bartram; and one grandchild, Adam Ray Conn. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Adkins Bartram; one daughter, Lessie Cathern Conn of Huntington; and four sons, Phillip Wilson Bartram of Bel Air, Md., and Gary Bartram, Stanley Bartram and Lewis C. Bartram, all of Huntington; two sisters, Estelle Perry of Huntington and Ruth Dial of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Harold Bartram of Huntington; two special sisters-in-law, Ardith Ruth "Tiny" Bartram and Cynthia Gilkerson; three grandchildren, Kevin Conn, Trena Roberts and Michael Paul Conn; three great-grandchildren, Amanda Rae Conn, Justin Lee Roberts and Sean Douglas Roberts.
