The funeral for Dorothy Christine Aultman, 89, of Athens, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at McConnell Funeral Home with Tony Wales officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Aultman passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at home.
Dorothy Bolin Aultman was born January 14, 1923, in Limestone County to Claiborne "Bob" Bolin and Rose Turner Bolin.
Mrs. Aultman worked at Redstone Arsenal for the war effort during World War II. She was the former co-owner of Aultman Grocery in Thatch Community from 1950-1961, and worked several years as a waitress before managing Wash and Gossip for 38 years.
Mrs. Aultman was a charter member of Elkton Road Baptist Church, not missing a service for seven years. She was well known in the Athens, Limestone community.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Romeo R. Aultman.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharion Adams and husband David of Toney; grandsons, R. Gregory Malone, Richard G. Malone and wife Heidi, and Richard M. Adams, all of Athens; granddaughters, Regina G. Bray of Oklahoma, Melody G. Hunter and husband Shannon of Arizona, Cindy S. Woods of Birmingham, Helen S. Malone of Athens; brothers, Carl D. Bolin and wife Theona of Brookwood, Kenneth Bolin and wife Peggy of Saraland; sisters, Macie Blankenship and husband W.H. of Nashville, TN, Maxarene "Micky" Hudspeth and husband Clyde, Peggy Raper and husband Sidney, all of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.
