No service will be held. Mr. Rhoades died July 24, 1994, at age 76 of causes related to age. He was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, and lived in Portland for 57 years. He was an azalea grower at Clackamas Greenhouse. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are a daughter, Gayle, who's location is unknown:sisters Irene Kuehn of Milwaukie, Zella J. Pierce of Gresham and Ruthena Lilly of La Pine: and a brother, James Rhodes of Yuma, Ariz. Interment was in Willamette National Cemetery. Arrangements: Holman Hanks Bowker & Waud
