Abe Gabbard

Abe Gabbard, 90, of Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation, died there today. Born Oct. 16, 1906, in Jackson County he was a son of Abel and Almeada Peters Gabbard Sr. He was a retired owner of Gabbard Real Estate Company and attended the Baptist Church. He was the widower of Minnie Cornelious Gabbard. Survivors include a daughter, Pegi G Camenisch of Danville; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Robert D "Bobby" Gabbard and a daughter Wilma Gabbard Huston. Services will be 2 pm Sunday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 pm Saturday.
