Patricia Fernández, age 63, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 8, 2012.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Melissa Duartes, sister, Cruzita Whatley and her husband, John, grandchildren, Nicholas Sánchez, and Carlos Durán, step-son, Antonio Fernández Jr., sisters-in-law, Mercedez Fernández-Wells and her husband, Louis, Margaret Benavidez, Cuca Morris, Helen López and her husband, Ray, Dolores Lyons and her husband, Rolf, and Becky Rubio, brother-in-law, Raymond Fernández and his wife, Marie, close personal friend and caregiver, Rose Montoya, special nephews and niece, Michael Whatley, Dominic Whatley and Celeste Castro and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Fernández, Albuquerque Fire Department, retired.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 12, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, from 6:45 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be on Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Sánchez, Carlos Durán, Sergio Miranda, John Whatley and Phillip Prarie. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Fernández and Robert Sánchez.
