Dorothy Poindexter, 82, Palmyra, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at 1:10 p.m. at Indian Creek Health and Rehab in Corydon. She was born in Burkesville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cloyd Poindexter. Survivors include six sons, Bobby and Jerry Poindexter and Tommy Youngs, all of New Albany, Ted Poindexter of Greenville, Donnie Poindexter of Louisville and Robert Youngs of Palmyra; two daughters, Mary Gribbins and Patty Sallee, both of Palmyra; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Friday, Feb. 1, after 10 a.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra. Funeral: Friday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Greenville Cemetery.
