1894 - 1915:
The U.S. Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014, list Sarah's birth date as Aug 19, 1894. The Kansas census of 1895 shows her living in Neosho, Cherokee county, Kansas at the age of 7 months. This location is where I believe she was born. Some records I have found list her as being born in Oklahoma. The only reason for this is that Cherokee County Kansas sits on the border of Kansas and Oklahoma.
Sarah is listed in the 1900 and 1910 Federal census as living with her parents, Alfred Buffington and Hannah (Ross) Buffington and family in Oswego, Kansas. In 1915 the Kansas State Census list her again living at home but with her mother since her father had passed away by that time. ** Oswego, Kansas is located about 25 miles from where she was born. This is where her parents last settled and lived out their lives.

Marriage; 1916 - 1930 (Omaha, Nebraska)
1. The Iowa, Marriage Records, 1880-1937 list a Sarah Buffington marrying a Frank C Stallings/Stattings on Aug 15, 1916 in Omaha, Nebraska. The listed names for the parents of this Sarah are; Alfred Buffington and Hattie (possible nickname for Hannah) Buffington. Was this possibly the same Sarah who would have then only been married to this Frank Stallings for a short time? It can't be confirmed. This marriage took place in Omaha, Nebraska. Omaha, Nebraska is also where the Federal Census for 1920 and 1930 shows her married and living with a William Kline.
2. Sarah was married to a William Kline and lived a short time in Omaha Nebraska. A professional photograph of them together was found to have been stamped with the location of Omaha, Nebraska. A marriage record for Sarah and William W. Kline could not be found. However, I knew her when living as being married to a William Kline. Sarah Kline is my great aunt.

Residence: 1930- 1970 (San Gabriel and Escondido, California)
Sometime between 1930 and 1935 Sarah and her husband, William Kline, relocated to California. They first moved to San Gabriel, California which is near Los Angeles. The 1940 census shows Sarah and her husband living in San Gabriel, California and mentions they had lived there as well in 1935.
They eventually moved to Escondido, California which is nearer to San Diego. This move took place sometime after 1940. No further records can be found pertaining to their life in Escondido, California. It is noted by the U.S., Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014 that Sarah did pass away in Escondido. The California, Death Index, 1940-1997 has listed her date of death as May 2, 1970. This is also the date that is listed on her grave marker. Sarah's grave marker list her husband, William Kline without a death date. The U.S., Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014 has his death date as July 1987. I could not locate the burial place for Sarah’s husband William Kline. It is my belief that he is buried beside Sarah. However, for some reason his death date was not added to the grave marker.
