Mrs. Wayne Meeks, 64, died in her residence in the Mann Community north of Rayville early Friday morning.

Funeral services are incomplete but they will be under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home and will be held in the Mann Community Church with the Rev. Leslie McDowell officiating.

Interment will be in the Stevenson Cemetery which is located north of Rayville.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Meeks; two sons, Joe E. Meeks of Nederland, Texas, and Jerry W. Meeks of Ridge City, Texas; six daughters, Mrs. B. L. Fortenberry of Rayville, Mrs. P. J. Norwood of St. Joseph, Mrs. O. B. Hale and Mrs. R. J. Hale of New Iberia, Mrs. R. O. Bolster of Topeka, Kansas, and Mrs. H. P. Middleton of Monroe; three brothers, Ed Pierce and John Pierce of Philadelphia, Miss., and Ulmer Pierce of Jackson, Miss.; eight sisters, Mrs. H. M. Mowdy, Mrs. J. E. Mowdy, Mrs. T. B. Chesney, Mrs. A. C. Mott, and Mrs. B. S. Harrison of Philadelphia, Miss., Mrs. J. B. Watson of Monroe, Mrs. W. T. Harrison of Bogalusa, and Mrs. Leslie Middlebrook of Bastrop.
