Byrum, Norman Eugene Norman Eugene Byrum, 72, of Porter, IN passed away peacefully, June 11, 2011, at VNA Hospice, Valparaiso, IN. Born September 13, 1938 in Bolivar, Tennessee to Claude and Ruby (Holland) Byrum.

Mr. Byrum retired from NIPSCO in 1997 after 27 years of service. He served his country honorably in the US Army from 1956-1958. Norman was an avid traveler and enjoyed fishing and bowling.

Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Shirley Ann (McMahon), and sons Kevin Guay, Porter, IN and Eric Guay, Quebec City, Canada.

Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Carol Johnston and Ann Blissmer, and brother Thomas Byrum.

A private burial will be held in a National Cemetery at a later date.
