Nora Rogers Barnhill was born in Clay County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Oda G. and Minnie K. Rogers.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Leverett Pruitt and husband, Danny; granddaughter, Jennifer Berger Cassell and husband, Corey and great-grandsons, Charlie and Alex Cassell, all of Raleigh, NC.

She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Lance of Stone Mountain, GA and Dayton Moss of Hayesville, NC; brothers, Rev. Jim Rogers and wife, Helen, of Young Harris, GA and John Rogers and wife, Linda, of Cleveland, GA; sister-in-law, Virginia Rogers Stephens of Amsterdam, OH, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her husband, Clyde G. Barnhill; her brothers, Clarence Rogers and Bill Rogers and his wife, Jean, and brother-in-law, Fred Moss.

She was a charter member of South Main Baptist Church in Wake Forest. She and her late husband were former owners of C. G. Barnhill Contracting Company and the Ponderosa Mobile Home Park in Wake Forest.

She was a member of United Federation of Doll Collectors, the Sir Walter Raleigh Doll Club, and the Red Hat Society, The Royal Jewels. She was so very special to everyone who knew her. She touched the hearts and lives of all who knew her, and she was very dearly loved.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Friday March 9, 2012 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, March 10, 2012 at the Meadow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hayesville, N.C.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Friends may visit with the family 1 hour after the service on Friday at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587.
