Phyllis B. Loos, 85, died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at the Golden Living Center at Three Oaks, Marshfield.

Phyllis Blanche Loos was born Oct. 16, 1923, in Marshfield, a daughter of Ernest and Blanche (Kayhart) Beyreis. Phyllis attended and graduated from Loyal High School in 1941.

Phyllis was united in holy marriage to Clemens Loos on May 12, 1945, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal.

Phyllis was employed as a cook and worked at numerous restaurants and institutions. She continued working into her 80s.

Mrs. Loos was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. Phyllis enjoyed taking walks in the park, reading and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Loos is survived by three children, Gerald (Patricia) Loos, Wisconsin Rapids, Linda (Alan) Revling, Marshfield, and Donna (Peter) Johnson, Spencer; seven grandchildren, Karen (Craig) Thurber, Wisconsin Rapids, Kelly Fleisner, Wisconsin Rapids, Kevin (Jen) Loos, La Crosse, Lia (Garrison) Cummings, Neenah, Joshua Revling, Marshfield, Brian (Cindy) Johnson, Marshfield, and Cara Johnson, Arpin; four great-grandchildren, Dalton and Nicholas Thurber and Kaitlynn and Ryan Fleisner.

She is further survived by four siblings, Shirley Nevala, Thorp, Joyce Bombach, Willard, Verlyn (Vernice) Beyreis, Spencer, and Gale Zorman, Spencer; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clemens, on April 15, 1968; and three brothers-in-law, Ray Nevala, Elmer Bombach and Albert Zorman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield. The Rev Mark Krueger will officiate. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
