Huston T. Benge, 76, of Dial, resident of this area since 1926 died at 5:30 p.m., Saturday at North Plains Hospital following a lingering illness.
He was employed by the J.R. Phillips Oil Company of Borger and was a member of the Villa Grove, Illinois Masons. Benge was also a member of the Borger Elks Club and only this year celebrated his Golden Wedding anniversary.
Survivors include his wife H.T. [sic] Benge of the home; four daughters Mrs. Le Roy Dodge, Borger; Mrs. Paul L. Hughes, Dallas; Mrs. Fred McKim, Crestline, Ohio and Mrs. John Ramseur, New London, Tex.
Other survivors include a son, J.C. Benge, San Antonio; two sisters Mrs. J.R. Phillips, Borger and Mrs. Clarence Lasater, Westville, Okla. and five brothers J.M., Villa Grove; George F., Charleston, Ill.; John, Marion, Ohio; S.F., Amarillo; and W.P. Benge, Borger and five grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of relatives.
