Evaline Louise Deem, 94, of Parkersburg, passed away at Marietta Memorial Hospital on June 15, 2017.
She resided at 207 6th Avenue, South Parkersburg, since 1949.
Evaline was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Parkersburg to Samuel P. and Effie Dae (Baker) Allen.
Evaline was a homemaker and loved taken care of her family. She was a member of the Grace Gospel Church. She enjoyed reading and cooking.
Evaline will be deeply missed by two sons, Ronald A. Deem of Walker and Richard (Janelle) Deem of Parkersburg; granddaughter, Rhonda (Keith) Marlow; step-granddaughter, Heather (Jared) Morrison; great-grandchildren, Joshua (Charity) Wilkison, Jeremiah (Katie) Whitlatch, Zachary (Kecia) Whitlatch, Emma and Cloe Morrison; great-great grandchildren, Faith, Gracie and Hopie Whitlatch, Hope and Faith Wilkison, Evan, Warren, Raidyn and Maely Whitlatch.
Evaline was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John Boyd Deem; baby, John Franklin; and granddaughter. Cheryl Whitlatch.
The family would like to thank Evaline’s neighbors Garrel and Dorothy Stump, Nellie Gaston and Joella Treadway.

Visitation will be Monday, June 19, from 4-7 p.m. and Tuesday, June 20, from 1-2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 20, at 2 p.m., at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Watson officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
