Mrs. Eddie Garner Ballard, a lifelong resident of the Mooreville area, were held Nov. 25, 1973 from the Mooreville Methodist Church with burial in the Mooreville Cemetery with Pegues Funeral Directors in charge. Life expired Nov. 23rd. at the NMMC in Tupelo after an extended illness, She was 85. A native of Lee County, she lived with her daughter, Mrs. A. C. (Mildred) Adams in Mooreville. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She married James M Ballard in 1906, and he died in 1945. She was a cousin of Mrs. Troy Gray and Miss Zereda Greene of Fulton.
Survivors included one son Elmo Ballard of Hickory Flat; one daughter, Mrs. A. C. Adams of Mooreville; three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
