In the 1920 Census he was a laborer at a freight house and living at 105 Kenwood Avenue (Binghamton, NY).

In the 1930 Census he was not working and living at 9 Carroll Street (Binghamton, NY).

He married Mary in 1899.

His mother and father both came from Pennsylvania.

His father was was Jacob Lewis Riegel. Jacob was born July 10, 1836 in Beaver, PA. He died November 5, 1912 in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

His mother was Mary Ann Riegel (Yeater). Mary was born June 3, 1836 in Juanita County, Pennsylvania. She died June 11, 1892 in Glen Burnie, MD.

His parents Jacob and Mary got married January 28, 1858.
