Deceased Name: HELEN CHENOWETH GALESBURG -- Helen N. Chenoweth, 74, of 2156 Marina Drive died at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 1995, at her home.

Born Aug. 20, 1920, in Vermont, Ill., to Lewis and Edna Stoops Vaughn, she married Virgil W. Chenoweth Sr. on Dec. 6, 1939, in Keokuk, Iowa. He died Sept. 9, 1994. She also was preceded in death by two sons, David L. and Kenneth Lee, and one brother. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Beverly) Sayrs of rural Cameron; one son, Virgil W. Jr. of Watertown, Mass.; five grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.

A Fulton County resident most of her life, she moved to Galesburg eight years ago. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hinchliff-Pearson- West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. David Seitz will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Vermont Cemetery in Vermont.
