Services held for Donald Nicholson
FORSYTH, MT. ---- Donald E. Nicholson, 64, died of cancer in a Great Falls Hospital Saturday.
Services were held Wednesday at Beals Mortuary in Forsyth with Ale Robinson officiating.
Burial was in the Forsyth Cemetery, Forsyth, MT.
Mr. Nicholson was born Aug. 28, 1908, in Red Lake Falls, MN., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Nicholson.
After his parents deaths in 1916 he was reared by an uncle in Plenywood.
He later attended high school there.
He attended college in Crookston, MN.
In Nov. 1930 he married Audrey Bower in Butte, MT.
She died in 1948.
In 1950 he married Rachel Rogers in Billings, where he worked for the Stockman Bar and sold Insurance.
For a short time he operated a bar and café in Judith Gap, retiring in Judith Gap, retiring because of ill health.
For the past two years he lived in Great Falls.
Survivors include a son, Donald Jr., of Malala, OR., a sister Mrs. Vera Francis of Forsyth, MT., six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Buss Thompson, Dick Thompson, Roy Scoles, Phil Kiser, Art Gregory and Ray Clark.
Rita Martens sang "Jesus Savior Walk Beside Me" and Abide with Me."
