In the spring of 1994, Dorothy was united in marriage to Ron Medley. Dorothy attended Believer's Chapel Church in Ellington. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch and watching birds. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Ottis and Dessie Chitwood, her husband, Ron Medley and two sisters, Lorrine Anna Mae Swank and Wilma Jean Chitwood.
Dorothy is survived by one son, Todd Callaway and wife Ashley of Ellington, two daughters, Susan Callaway of Fredericktown, Tina Vest and companion, Stuart Cox of Ellington, five grandchildren, Autumn, Todd Jr., Destiny Renee Callaway and Tracey and Travis Camden, one brother, Loren Chitwood of Ellington, brother-in-law, Richard Swank of Salem, MO, five sisters, Nay Dean Masterson of Ellington, Maude Stevens of Corridon, Nancy Chitwood of Reynolds, Catherine Burns of Salem, MO, and Sherry Vest of Corridon. Dorothy will be deeply missed by her family and many friends who will mourn her passing.
