Blanche I. Funk, 79, of Morton, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, at Morton Villa Care Center, in Morton.
She was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Pekin, to Erastus A. and Esther Emerson Dawson. She married Elmer J. Funk on April 24, 1954, in South Pekin. He passed away March 20, 2006.
Surviving are one son, James Funk; two daughters, Shelia (Dean) Gillespie and Sadie Brokaw; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Blanche was a homemaker.
She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tremont.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 9, at Davis Mortuary in Tremont. Tim Severt, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery, in Morton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, also at the mortuary.
