At an early hour on Sunday morning, Daniel R. Ashton, who, as an educator of young ladies in the duties and facts of daily life, had few equals, died in the eightieth year of his age at his late residence, No. 1292 Mount Vernon street. Mr. Ashton was a native Philadelphian. His seminary was situated on Arch street, near Tenth, and enjoyed the patronage of the best families. He was a warm adherent of the Protestant Episcopal Church. The funeral will take place to-day, from his late residence, the interment to be Woodlands Cemetery.
