Mr. Bongartz was dead on arrival at the local hospital March 3.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith Townsend Bongartz, one son, Bernard (Pat) Bongartz, Chicago, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Marie McPheeters, Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Beverley Anne Rybarczyk, Chicago, Illinois; his parents, Mrs. Eva Fleetwood, Elwood, Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Burial was in Cookeville City Cemetery.
