Funeral services for Becky Ates Durant, 42, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at First Assembly of God Church in Minden with the Rev. Jim Reid officiating and the Rev. David Logan and the Rev. Don McCormick assisting. Burial will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Visitation will be held from noon until 8 p.m. today, Oct. 9, at the funeral home. Ms. Durant, a native of Hot Springs, Ark., and a resident of Minden, passed away Monday, Oct. 6, in Minden. She was a housekeeper for First Assembly of God Church in Minden. She is survived by her parents, Billy and Cora Ates of Minden; son, Matthew Durant of Minden; sister, Beverly Ates Vega of New Iberia; niece, Heavenor Vega of Hammond; nephew, Phillip Vega, also of New Iberia; a host of other relatives and friends; and two special friends, C.B. Burley and Greg Perry from Lafayette. Pallbearers will be members of First Assembly of God Church. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the King Corners Assembly of God Church.
