Leonard E. Rickle, 91, of Findlay passed away at 10:25 PM on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Fox Run Manor, Findlay. He was born on June 6, 1920, to the late E. Lee and Florence (Farthing) Rickle in Wyandot County, OH. He married Esther Marie Burke on September 17, 1960, and she preceded him in death on April 14, 1997. Leonard is survived by a stepson, Robert (Carol) Berger of Findlay; a brother, Bill (Phyllis) Rickle of Wharton, OH; sisters: Treva Bakies of Carey, OH, Bernita Runion of Tiffin, OH, and Betty Bardon of Channahon, IL. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Smith and six brothers: Dale, Harold, Howard, Gerald, Dwight and Wayne. Leonard served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. Leonard was a machine setter for Ford and Autolite in Fostoria and retired after 35 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #3 and VFW Post #3003. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad. Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
