Born Oct. 24, 1940, in Marion, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur J. and Wilda C. Holstay Cordell.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Mercersburg.
She attended the former Browns Mill School, Kauffman, and Greencastle-Antrim High School.
Mrs. Alleman was a life member of Rescue Hose Company No. 1 Inc. Auxiliary, Greencastle.
She and her husband, J.J. "Jake" Alleman, were married on Nov. 21, 1962, in Westminster, Md.
