FLOYDADA (Special) Services for Bert Lee Emert, 72, of Floydada will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Ione Sedinger officiating and the Rev. Robin Hoover assisting.

Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.

He died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center.
He was born March 25, 1927, in Floydada. He attended schools in Floydada. He married Dolly Graham on June 14, 1947, in Floydada. He was a retired carpenter. He was a lifelong resident of Floydada. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Christian Church where he was a deacon and a member of the board for 30 years. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Lee Emert in 1980.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Roger of Floydada and Steve of Canyon; a daughter, Carolyn Green of Floydada; his mother, Lena Hinkle of Floydada; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, 3403 73rd St., Lubbock, 79243.
