Robert Monroe Hallock, 84, of Dawsonville, Georgia, died on February 19, 2004 at his home on Lake Lanier. He was born in Ohio and grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He was the son Lucille (Kimmell) Hallock and Thomas Powell Hallock. He graduated from the Boles Academy and attended Georgia Tech and the University of Miami before graduating from the University of Florida in 1939 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He started his career with The Coca-Cola Company, interrupting it for service during World War II. He was an Air Force pilot who retired from the service with the rank of Colonel. After the war, he resumed his career at Coke and worked subsequently for Mead Packaging and Litton Industries. Mr. Hallock retired to his Lake Lanier home, that he built largely with his own hands. He is survived by two sons, two daughters, two step-daughters, sixteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
