Charles Sligh, 77, millionaire furniture manufacturer of Grand Rapids, Mich., and widely known Miami winter visitor, died suddenly September 15 aboard the SS Berengaria returning from Europe, according to word received in Miami yesterday.
Mr Sligh, who was president of the Sligh Furniture Company, had extensive property holdings in Miami and other Florida cities, and had visited here frequently for the past several years. He was owner of the residence at 243 Second street, 10 acres immediately adjoining Coral Gables, several lots in Miami Beach, and 14,000 acres near Arcadia, Fla.
