Willie Margie was born in Robinson, Texas, to the late Jesse J. Andrews and Verna Brown Andrews, one of 17 children. She has lived in Waco since 1941. Willie worked at Weston's Biscuit Company around 1950 or so and later worked for Cen-Tex Carpet and Drapery in the 1960's. Willie was also a proud mother of seven children and enjoyed being a mother. She was an excellent seamstress and took great pride and joy in quilting and sewing for her family and friends. She also enjoyed going to Lake Whitney and to the coast. Willie leaves a legacy of memories to her large and extended family and will be greatly missed.
Willie was preceded in death by daughters, Erma L. Pardue, Alene Kousal, and Hazel Everett; a son, Richard Glen Childs; sisters, Lorena Beaver, Edna Adams, Anna Bell Eubank, Mable Robinett, Madie Williams, Mary Lou Nostzger-Tyson, and Louvene Stone; and brothers, Woodrow Andrews, Robert Earl Andrews, Sherman Andrews, Billy Andrews, and James Andrews.
Willie is survived by her daughter, Alvena Huffman; sons, Lester Childs and Chester Childs; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jennie Marie Finch, Ruby Lee Baker, Mozelle McDonald, Janie Merle Jackson; as well as many nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
