John Porter, 92, of Nett Lake, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 1996, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
He was born in Sawyer, where he grew up. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a welder in the Duluth shipyards and also had logged.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; several stepchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
