Born at Drasco on November 17, 1913, she was the daughter of Rolly Liles and Laura C. Killion Liles.
She married Max O. Clark February 11, 1931. She always worked alongside her husband in all his endeavors and preferred outside work like gardening, fence building, or just building or remodeling houses, etc. She was an outstanding seamstress and sewed beautiful clothes for her two daughters and nieces and grandchildren. She would attempt any project fearlessly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max O. Clark; two sisters, Lola Patterson and Lura Southerland; two brothers, Doyle Liles and Harvey Liles; two half-brothers, Voyd Liles and Sherman Liles; and her son-in-law, Byron Spinks.
Those surviving are her two daughters, Maxine Spinks of Drasco and Jo Ann Clark of Heber Springs; eight grandchildren, Randy Spinks of Drasco, Gaye Lynn (Spinks) Byrd and husband Wendell Byrd of Heber Springs, Lou Ann (Spinks) Byrd and husband Tommy of Centerton, Max Pigford of Birmingham, Alabama, Lynn Pigford and wife Patsy of Aberdeen, Mississippi, Terrill (Pigford) Marler and husband Wade of Heber Springs, Rhonda (Pigford) Sullivan and husband Ron of Heber Springs, and Tracy Pigford and wife Lalitha of Johnson City, Tennessee; 11 great grandchildren; 7 great, great grandchildren, and 4 great, great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 4, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Billy Henderson at the Drasco General Baptist Church of which she was a long-time member. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery at Wolf Bayou.
