Born Feb. 23, 1913, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Charles Emery and Ada Dell Schlarbaum Conner. On Jan. 28, 1931, she married David Franklin Woodruff in Wapello. He died Feb. 26, 1963. On Dec. 1, 1964, she married Orie Albert Gray in Cedar Rapids. He died in January of 1971.
She worked a short time at Henry County Memorial Hospital and for 2 years at Staats Manufacturing. She attended Pleasant Lawn School. She recently resided at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant. She was a full-time homemaker. She was a member of Congregational Church of Mount Pleasant. She was a 50-year member of Mount Pleasant Women of the Moose. She enjoyed group bus trips and doing word search puzzles.
Survivors include one nephew and five nieces.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Weir and Kimzey Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.
The funeral for Mrs. Gray will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Weir and Kimzey Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Buck officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at a luncheon at Mount Pleasant Masonic Temple in Mount Pleasant, following the committal service.
