Mrs. Henry Brook, age 82 years, 7 months and 15 days departed this life August 20, 1928 after being taken to the hospital after receiving a fall resulting in a broken hip. Her husband and one daughter preceded her to the Great Beyond. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Henry Jackson, and seven sons: W.T. Brook, Charles, John, Jim, Luke, Zene, and Roy; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren to mourn her loss. She was residing in Herd, Oklahoma. Having lived in this vicinity a great many years, she has a host of friends who followed her to her last resting place in Pappin Cemetery. (Funeral expenses charged to her son Luke Brook in the amount of $126.50)
