Russell Hubert Adkins, 85, formerly of Beckley, WV, died Sunday, March 31, 1996, in an Abingdon hospital.
He was a coal miner and a member of the UMWA District 29.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth M. Bonham Adkins; one step-son, Bobby Simmons, Columbus, OH; two step-daughters, Judith Walton, Abingdon, and Vicki Guthrie, Clinton, MD, and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held in Beckley, WV.
