Mims S. Brower, 72, 1003 North Leland Ave., died early Saturday morning at Ball Hospital following an illness of several months.
Mr. Brower was born in Birmingham, Ala., but had been a resident of Muncie since 1934. He was associated with the Joseph A. Goddard Co. as a salesman for 27 years and later at the T.J. Ault Co. from which he retired in 1958.
He was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church and the Muncie Lodge F and A.M.
Surviving him are a son, Marion Brower, Muncie; a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Reed, Muncie; a sister, Mrs. Bess Roseberry, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and two grandchildren. His wife, Mrs. Josephine Brower, died in 1959.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Meeks Mortuary with the Rev. Robert Anderson, assistant pastor of the Hazelwood Christian Church, officiating. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in the Elm Ridge Cemetery.
