Just the day before a family reunion had been held at the old homestead in honor of her birthday, and she presided as hostess in the refined and cultured manner so characteristic of her. Apparently in the best of health she bade each loved one "goodbye" at the hour of their departure in the late afternoon. She was survived by one sister, Mrs. W. L Russell of Mila, and four brothers, Mr. Hiram Blackwell and Messrs. Woodley C., Thomas E. and Archer L. Blackwell.
