Eleanor Breischaft passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. She was 78. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles P. Breischaft, Sr. and their son Richard W. Breischaft. Eleanor lived in East Lansdowne for many years where she was active as a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts and co-founded the East Lansdowne Little League Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at Swarthmore College for 25 years before her retirement. She is survived by her sons Robert K. (Teresa) and Charles P. Jr. (Cheryl) Breischaft; and six grandchildren. Relatives and friends sttended her viewing and service on Friday, March 2nd at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, followed by Service at 12 noon.
Eleanor was very witty and could find humor in almost every situation. She always knew just what to say to get a laugh. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
