Gilbert Mershall
Gilbert "Buddy" Mershall, 89, of Bedford, Ky., died Friday, April 23, 2004, at Bedford Health Care Center.
He was born Jan. 24, 1915, in Trimble County, Ky., the son of John and Naomi Alexander Mershall. He had retired as a truck driver for Kentucky Utilities.
Surviving are one daughter, Susan Hughes of Carrollton, Ky.; one sister, Beverly Stewart of Milton, Ky.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, France Colbert Mershall; one son, Eddie Mershall; one daughter, Betty Carol Weaver; two brothers, Benny and M.D. Mershall; two sisters, Mimrel Cutshaw and Viola Colbert; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. EDT Monday at the Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, with burial in the Bedford IOOF Cemetey.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. EDT Sunday, and after 9 a.m. EDT Monday, at the funeral home.
