Lela E. Sites, daughter of the late Alfred Webster and Mary Gintz Barton was born on August 21, 1915 in Bourbon, Missouri and departed this life on March 19, 1992 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri having attained the age of 76 years, 6 months and 28 days.

Lela was lifelong resident of Bourbon. She professed her faith in Christ, was baptized and a faithful and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Bourbon, Missouri.

On February 10, 1934 she was united in marriage to Wilbur Elmer Sites, who preceded her in death on June 16, 1964.

Surviving her are two daughters, Joyce Petty and husband, Elmo, of Salem, Missouri, Judi Puckett and husband, Gary, of Bourbon, Missouri; four sons, Jack Sites and wife, Dorothy, of Union, Missouri, James Davis Sites and wife, Paula, of Centralia, Missouri, Ronald Sites and wife, Mary, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Rick Sites and wife, Debbie, of Sullivan, Missouri; a niece, Betty Eise of Belleville, Illinois; 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Besides those previously mentioned she was preceded in death by three sisters, Clara Carter, Elizabeth Hager, Dorothy Barton.

A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday from the First Baptist Church in Bourbon, Missouri with Pastor Wexford Parmer officiating. Interment was in the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hassebroek's Bourbon Chapel, Bourbon, Missouri.
