AIKMAN, William born July 1, 1929, went home to be with his Lord Jesus and his beloved wife, Aatie, on December 14, 2002, at the age of 73. He is survived by their daughters Elethia, Keturah, Medorah and their families, which include 7 grandchildren, and siblings, Mr. John Aikman, Mrs. Virgie Reed and their families.

William served in the United States Marine Corp. for 9 years, including a tour of duty in the Korean War. William was also a recipient of numerous decorations, including the Purple Heart.

He was a lifetime resident of Los Gatos where he owned and operated Vasona Station Hair Designers with his devoted wife, Aatie.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 20, 2002 from 11-1 with a funeral service to commence at 1pm, both at DARLING-FISCHER CHAPEL OF THE HILLS, 615 N. Santa Cruz Avenue in Los Gatos. Burial to follow at Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose. Published in San Jose Mercury News on December 17, 2002
