"The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. Psalms 23:1-2 A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, June 3, 2001, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 91 and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Visiting in the funeral home parlor from 8:30 a.m. until religious services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Arum John. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. Survived by a son, Ronnie Amoroso; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Alice Amoroso; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Amoroso; a sister, Lucille Thomas; 17 grandchildren, Vickie Amoroso Keith, JoAnn Amoroso, Buddy Amoroso, Lori Amoroso Planchard, MaryPat Amoroso Thevenot, David Amoroso, Nick Amoroso, Michael Amoroso, Ramona Amoroso LeBouef, Rhonda Amoroso Holmes, Bruce Amoroso, Brian Amoroso, Brad Amoroso, Ronnie Amoroso Jr., Angel Amoroso, Joseph Amoroso and Jessica Amoroso; and 31 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Tony Amoroso; two sons, Tony "Butsie" Amoroso and Nick Amoroso; parents, Nicholas Martrain and Sarah Bonfanti Martrain; four sisters, Nettie Genovese, Loretta Cangelosi, Sarah Thomas and Lena Maggio; and five brothers, Pete Martrain, Nick Martrain Jr., Louis Martrain Sr., Sam "BoBo" Martrain and Joe Martrain. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
