Joseph Caruso was a Tenor with the Metropolitan Opera. He came from Sicily and was the son of Sebastian Caruso & Rosa Vasalo. Joseph Caruso married Maxine Stellman, also an opera singer in Brattleboro, Vermont on Aug 7, 1933. They spent a part of their lives in Brattleboro, Vermont and owned a camp on Sunset Lake. Joseph could be heard in the evening, his voice carrying across the lake.
