Grandma D Darlene Baxter passed away surrounded by her family a bit unexpectedly March 2, 2007 in Salt Lake City at the youthful age of 73.

Mom was born to Raymond and Jennie Miller. She married her high school sweetheart and eternal companion Delano (Dee) and lived in the East Millcreek area all of their adult lives.

Grandma Darlene had a special place in her heart for the accomplishments of her seven grandchildren. She deeply loved friends and family. She generously shared an infectious smile with all visitors. She proved her thumbs were tinted green by caring for her small jungle of house plants. Grandma was a little short and very sweet, just like the life she led.

Mom is survived by: Son Brent (Marie) Baxter, Daughters: Karen (Kyle) Lamberton, and DeAna (Rod) Ramirez. Sister Donna (Thomas) Davis. Brothers: Raymond (Sandra) Miller, Gene (Nancy) Miller, and seven cherished grandchildren: Christopher Baxter, Stephanie Baxter, Andrea Baxter, Kody Lamberton, Kiley Lamberton, Morgan Ramirez, and Nick Ramirez.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Rosecrest First Ward, 3101 South 2300 East. Friends are invited to call Friday evening March 9th from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel 3251 South 2300 East and at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. prior to services. Condolences may be sent to www.holbrookmortuary.com.
