Born to unknown parents she married Nathanial Britton Welliver in 1872 and had the following children : Bertram, Laura E., Martha A., Mary P.,Jessie, Arthur, Blanche P., Percilla B.,Raymond, and an infant son who died at birth. Fro the Morning Press Obit: Mrs. Mary A Welliver, widow of the late Brittain Welliver, died at 4:30 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughters, Mrs. E.A. Proudfoot, Harrisburg. She was 74 years of age. Pneumonia with which she had been ill only a few days, was the cause of death. She was born in Danville and lived here up until a years ago when she went to make her home with her daughter. She was a member of Sheep's Evangelical church. She is survived by three sons and four daughters, Jacob Welliver, of Derry township, John and Jess, of Harrisburg; Mrs. J.W. Gemil, Detroit; Mrs. Frank Tobias, Bloomsburg; Mrs. Alfred Frost, Cleveland, OH; and Mrs. Proudfoot, Harrisburg; also by one brother, Benjamin Shultz, Jerseytown. Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Friday afternoon in Sheep's church. Burial will be made in New Columbia cemetery.
