Barbara A. "Babs" Lear, 50, of 1054 Washington St., formerly of Nazareth, died Monday, Aug. 24, in Fox Chase Cancer Center near Philadelphia.
She was a foster parent from 1971 to 1990, caring for more than 300 children who were placed with her by Northampton County Children and Youth Services. She also worked at Barr's Mobile Station on Route 61 in Easton for several years.
Born Oct. 10, 1941, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Jane DeCesare Bossert.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wilson Borough, and Lester Pfeffer American Legion Post 611 in Easton.
She and her husband Edward C. Lear, observed their 24th wedding anniversary in May.
