She was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Buxton, to Albewrt and Hilda Carlson.
Helen or "MaMa" as she was called by the family, had a full 91 years and was ready to go home to be with her Lord. Helen loved to watch the birds that visited her yard and welcome guess into her home. She was most happy when visited by her grandchildren and "the little beggar," as she called son Richard's toy poodle. The family expresses many thanks to Dr. Abbott and the medical staff of Val Verde Hospital for caring for Helen. Her life was devoted to her family and she would wield her cane to keep her linebackeresque grandsons in order.
Helen is survived by her sister, Ruth Carlson; sons, Richard and wife Judy and William and wife Vicki; grandchildren, Sue Kinsey and husband David and Alan and wife Christina; great-grandchildren, David Kinsey Jr. and wife Samantha, Richard, Dustin and Douglas Kinsey, Jasmine, Brittany, Elisha and Shayanne Agee; and her great-great-granddaughter, Taylor Kinsey; as well as her devoted and best friend Shelila, who cared for her for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Agee; brother, Robert Carlson; sister, Alberta Scott; and daughter-in-law, Beverly Agee.
The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice or to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements were made by G.W.Cox Memorial Funeral Home, of Del Rio LTD, 114 Flethcer Drive, Del Rio, Texas 78840.
