Former Izard County Legislator Dies In Calif.
Guy "Shinny" Gaston, a native of LaCrosse and a former State representative from Izard County, died in Van Nuys, California, on March 28th. He was 79 and was the
son of W. H. Gaston and Maude Weathers Gaston.
Mr. Gaston was elected to the Arkansas Legislature in 1940 and served in the 1941 session. He moved to California 35 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Allegra Stockard Gaston of Van Nuys; one son, Michael Gaston, also of Van Nuys; 2 sisters, Mrs. Virgie Landers of Bockwell and Mrs. Lois Wiseman of Fairfield, Calif.
Funeral was in Van Nuys on Monday of this week.
