Captain (or head waiter) for nearly 50 years at the legendary Chasen's Restaurant, Los Angeles, California. He had charge of 'station 8', the "power" tables at the restaurant where only THE most famous figures, among them, Jimmy Stewart, Dean Martin, Ronald Reagan, to name a few, would be seated. Knowing most diners by first name, he stood at the front door greeting guests at their arrival and was known to be able to get away with teasing them as well. He has posed with countless big names, among them Pope John Paul II, and has one photo of him with Presidents Bush, Reagan, Carter and Ford. He was a big Dodger fan and was allowed to park in Walter O'Malley's parking spot at the stadium when attending games.
