Descendant of John and Priscilla Alden Leaves Several Children
Northampton, Sept 4 – The funeral of Jonathan W. Arnold will be held Saturday afternoon at 2.30 at the home, 41 West street, Rev. S. Ralph Harlow, officiating, and burial will be in Bridge street cemetery. Mr Arnold was born April 28, 1856, in the house in which he died, and was the son of the late William F. and Florella Warner Arnold. He was seventh in descent from John Alden and his wife, Priscilla.
Mr Arnold was married June 15 1881, to Fannie Russell Parsons, daughter of Isaac S. Parsons and granddaughter of Capt Samuel Parsons. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and of Northampton grange. He leaves his widow, a son, William Parsons Arnold of Waterbury, Ct.; a daughter, Miss Ann Arnold and three grandchildren, Arnold Parsons Lewis of this city and William Parsons Arnold, Jr., and Charles Grannis Arnold of Waterbury. A daughter, Grace Carver Arnold Lewis, died in 1918, and another daughter, Gertrude, died in 1882.
