Bertha (Chapman) Miller was the youngest of the four daughters of Glen C. and Ruby (Coen) Chapman. At the age of three, she moved to Enid, OK with her family and graduated from Enid High School in 1953. On August 5th of that year she was married to Orville Miller at the Free Methodist Church in Covington.

As Orville was in the U. S. Army, stationed at Fort Hood, TX, they lived first in Texas. They moved to Covington in 1970 where she served as the Covington Treasurer, was the Covington Tag Agent and served on the Covington City board. During their years in Covington, she was an EMT with the Garber Ambulance Service for ten years. Her hobbies were stamp collecting, sewing, crocheting and growing plants.

Upon retirement she and Orville moved back to Enid in 2003. Her funeral service was held on Feb. 18 at the Abundant Life Family Center in Enid, officiated by Rev. David Robinson and Rev. Gary Miller.

Surviving loved ones, in addition to her husband, were their five children: Connie Darden and her husband, Randall, of Claremore, OK; Rev. Gary Miller and his wife, Connie, of Enid; Dale Miller and hus wife, Judy, of Nash, OK; Donna Danner of Enid and Carol Farmer and her husband, Kelly, of Edmond, OK. Also surviving were thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters; Hazel O'Banion and her husband, Floyd, of Enid and Myrtle Spicer and her husband, Jay, of Haysville, KS and special friend, Naomi Miller.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pearl Seltenreich.

Last resting place, Covington Community Cemetery in Covington, OK, with arrangements by the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home of Enid.
