Sandy passed away February 22, 2012 in Kirkland, WA at the age of 67. She was born on June 12, 1944 in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of Charles and Eleanor Hamilton. Sandy graduated from Parsippany High School in Parsippany, NJ. She married Bernard C. Ebert and together they enjoyed 47 years of marriage. Sandy is survived by her daughter, Terri Ebert of Kirkland, WA; her son, Kevin Ebert of Nashville, TN; her brothers Charles Hamilton of Blairstown, NJ and Robert Hamilton of Millville, NJ; her sister Nancy Diablo of Yardley, PA.
Sandy was an avid bridge player who achieved Life Master Status and was a supreme Bunco player. Over the years she enjoyed playing tennis and golf and was known to "occasionally" visit the local casinos (and often won). Sandy never missed an opportunity to host a tea party for some of her favorite young girls, entertain through the holidays with countless events and most recently baked cupcakes to her heart's content. Sandy's infectious personality made it easy for everyone she met to become her friend and believed in treating people with respect, thoughtfulness, and kindness.
Sandy believed in following the paycheck and she and Bernie lived in Maryland, Missouri, Texas, Washington and Saudi Arabia. Throughout her life, Sandy loved to travel and some of her favorite spots included Paris, Switzerland, Austria, Las Vegas and the Jersey Shore.
Sandy lived life to the fullest up to and including the time she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She never asked "why me" or lamented on her situation. She valiantly fought her illness with dignity and grace right up to the last moment of her passing.

A family and friends visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. as well as Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
The memorial service, and funeral, will start at 1:30 p.m. at Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Bellevue, WA.

Over the past few years Sandy had the joy of living between Texas and Washington and spent most of her time in Kirkland. She devoted her volunteer efforts to the Seattle Ronald McDonald house. She found joy in cooking for the children and families who need it most.

In lieu of flowers, Sandy would appreciate you make a donation to RMHC of Western Washington & Alaska. www. rmhcseattle.org . Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Funeral Home, have been entrusted with arrangements.
